month: January 2010

Yesterday, Chris Amerson of Amerson Events, Rachel, and I went to Children’s Hospital to meet with Misty and Emily. Rachel delivered 30 new books for the hospital to use in their activity room. The books were given to Rachel instead of gifts when we celebrated her birthday earlier this month. I posted photos from that party as well as a slideshow a couple of weeks ago. Chris was our DJ, and he did a wonderful job involving the kids in some activities as well dancing. We had a great time at the party, and the kids at the hospital will certainly enjoy their new books. This photo shows Rachel (on the right) giving some of the books to Emily who is responsible for the activity room. The second photo includes Misty whose responsibilities include fundraising for the hospital.

The last quarter of 2009 was hectic for all of us, I know. Even though it’s been a couple of months since Tiffany and Chris’ wedding, I wanted to share some of the images we made of their flowers. Janet Jackson (no, she is not related!) of Flower Buds did an incredible job with the flowers–here are some examples of her work. They do not have a website, but if you want to get in touch with them, their phone number is 205.970-3223.

This young lady has quite a collection of Converse tennis shoes. I’m thinking the marketing company from Converse would love this photo! :)

Last night we really had a great time at The Preserve (thank you, Laural!) with DJ Chris Amerson. Rachel was a shining star with make-up by Laura Eason (Laura Eason Artistry). The kids loved the decorations (thank you, Tracy with Southern Events. Chef Bob and his wife Darlene outdid themselves with the cake! It tasted as good as it looked. All the kids brought books to be donated to Children’s Hospital instead of a birthday gift for Rachel. We are excited that we’ll be taking about 40 books to the hospital for their activity room. Here are some photos from the party.

Check out the video after the images!

I am having a blast with a new addition to my studio work–pin-up photography! Check out my first two models and let me know what you think. Both women really had fun playing dress-up, and I just love playing with the different looks we can achieve with the help of Photoshop!

The website is under construction! Please bear with me as changes are made to make the website bigger and better! Slideshows of engagement sessions and weddings will be posted on the blog–just named “the buzz”! The website will be a place to view galleries of real weddings; portraits of couples, teens, and babies. Watch for a new category: pin-ups! BTW, if you have a cool idea for a name for my latest offering, please let me know. Some considerations so far: Retro Babes, Hot Chicks…well, you can see that a cool name is needed! :)
